Posted: Monday August 8, 2011 • Category: Press Releases
(Garden City, Ga.)- Coastal Logistics Group, Inc. (CLG) is among the companies Governor Nathan Deal praised Monday for contributing to the Port of Savannah's success.
"Our strong, strong logistics and transportation network in Georgia on land, sea, rail, and by air is key to job development in the Southeast," said Governor Deal.
This month, CLG announced the opening of its third and newest operation in Suffolk, Virginia. The Garden City-based logistics firm has experienced a lot of growth in the last 7 months.
In January, CLG opened a new 300,000 sq. ft. facility in the Coastal Empire. Branching out to the area near the Port of Virginia adds to the company's vision of strengthening the global supply chain in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
The Suffolk location will function similarly to the company's Garden City location. It will serve as a strategic hub for distribution, packing, crating, and movement of goods made in the U.S.A. and other countries of the world.
“The Coastal Logistics Group Virginia team includes a mix of talented logistics engineers, packaging specialists, and business experts” said Chad Barrow, President of Coastal Logistics Group. “We are meeting present-day demands for CLG customers and actively pursuing new business for the Port of Virginia. We are excited to be a part of the growing logistics community in the area and contributing to the local economy."
“Our team is already building up a strong reputation and presence with customers and partners alike,” said Richard Barrow, CEO of Coastal Logistics Group. “We look forward to working with the City, State, and Port of Virginia to support our customer’s logistics needs in Virginia.”
